ASUS laptop repair
ASUS covers a wide spread — thin ZenBooks, everyday VivoBooks, and ROG gaming machines that run hot by design. Each ages differently, and the gaming ones need the most attention to cooling.
Across the ASUS range
- ZenBook — thin and light, which means heat has fewer places to go and dust matters more.
- VivoBook — the everyday line; screens, batteries and slow spinning drives.
- ROG / TUF — gaming hardware that runs hard, and where cooling service makes the biggest difference.
Gaming laptops and heat
ROG and TUF chassis pack desktop-class parts into a case with very little spare air, so they show heat trouble earlier than a thicker machine would. Throttling under load, or a session that ends in a shutdown, is usually the cooling path clogging rather than anything having failed — and on the thinner ZenBooks the same dust does more damage sooner, because there was less airflow to lose.
Upgrades worth doing
- More RAM, on the models that allow it.
- A second drive where there's a spare slot.
- An SSD swap on any VivoBook still running a spinning disk.
Straight answer
ASUS covers more ground than most brands we see — ultrabook-thin ZenBooks up to gaming ROG towers — and none of that range makes us an ASUS authorized provider; that's a relationship we don't have. Worth knowing on the thin ZenBooks specifically: some are built with very little serviceable inside, and on those a repair is genuinely limited by the design rather than by us. We'll tell you at diagnosis if yours is one of them.
Ways we can handle this
This one usually needs hands on the hardware, so the machine does need to reach the bench. Getting it here isn't necessarily your problem to solve, though.
- Walk in. No appointment needed at 2320 S Tamiami Trl, Unit 7, during shop hours.
- Pickup and drop-off — $49. We collect the machine and bring it back, within roughly 10–15 miles. That covers the trip; any repair, setup or training is quoted separately.
- We come to you. On-site visits for home offices, small-business setups, and anything that shouldn’t be unplugged.
- Remote. A live screen-share while you watch everything we do — the computer never leaves your desk.
