Do you buy used computers?
We sell refurbished business computers — tested, wiped, and set up before they go out the door. Whether we're the right place to hand over a machine you no longer want depends on the machine, so call or bring it in and ask rather than trust a blanket policy on a webpage.
What we can tell you for certain
- We sell tested, refurbished business-grade machines alongside the repair bench — often the same kind of ex-corporate laptops and desktops that come in from trade-ins and used equipment.
- Whether a specific computer you own fits what we're currently taking depends on the model, its age, and its condition — that's not something a page can answer honestly on your behalf.
- The straightforward move is to bring it in, or call and describe it, and get a real answer instead of a guess.
Whatever happens to the machine, wipe the drive first
Handing a computer to anyone — a shop, a buyer, a donation center, a family member — without wiping the drive first is a real risk, and it's the part people skip. Deleting files or emptying the recycle bin doesn't erase them; it just removes the label pointing to where they are. A proper wipe overwrites the drive itself, or on newer machines resets the encryption so the old data becomes unreadable. If you're not confident doing that yourself, we can wipe a drive properly as part of getting a machine ready to leave your hands, regardless of who it's going to next.
What actually makes a used machine worth something
- Business-grade equipment built to be serviced — the ex-corporate Latitudes and ThinkPads of the world — tends to hold value longer than consumer-grade machines of the same age.
- Specs matter more than age on their own. An SSD and decent memory keep a machine relevant well past when a spinning-drive equivalent of the same year would not be.
- Physical condition — the case, the screen, the battery — factors in the same way it would for anything used.
- Some machines are worth more taken apart for parts than sold whole, and that's a normal outcome, not a bad one.
Straight answer
We're not going to promise a purchase or a price on this page, because we haven't made that promise to ourselves either — it depends on what comes in the door. If what you actually want is to responsibly retire an old computer rather than sell it, wiping the drive yourself and recycling the machine is a completely reasonable outcome, and you don't need us for that step.

Nope — walk-ins are welcome during business hours (Mon–Fri 10 AM–5:30 PM, Sat 10 AM–2 PM). Want to plan ahead? Request a time online and we’ll confirm it with you.
What kinds of computers do you work on?
PCs and Macs, laptops and desktops, plus custom builds. We’re a Dell Authorized partner and handle Apple/Mac repairs in-shop. Common jobs: virus & malware removal, hardware upgrades (RAM, SSD, GPU), data recovery, and network & business IT.
